The Public Intellectuals Program (PIP) is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of China specialists who, in the tradition of earlier China hands, have the interest and potential to venture outside of academia to engage with the public and policy community. The PIP schedule includes workshops in Washington, D.C. to introduce participants to policy experts and opinion makers, as well as a trip to China, media training, and the opportunity to develop public education. I have attached the program announcement and call for applications. The deadline for applications is November 20, 2016, and the program runs from December 2016 to fall 2018.
