25 Summer Interns from America for 25 Years in Hong Kong
The Hong Kong America Center (HKAC), a non-profit consortium of universities in Hong Kong, began in 1993, working with the US Consulate and our member universities on Fulbright and other HK-US exchange programs. In our 25th year, we aim to have 25 American undergraduates in our Hong Kong Internship Program (HKIP) to help us celebrate.
We invite member institutions of the Asia Network to include Hong Kong as a destination for students who wish to spend the summer in practical training settings in businesses, NGOs, or in science-based start-ups (for STEM students). HK offers English-language placements, many of which engage with the Mandarin-speaking mainland right next door. The HKAC offers a “set menu” of services, including placement, HK training visa, housing, cultural activities, learning assessment, and 24/7 back-up support. We can also arrange an “a la carte” menu of services to complement what American study-abroad programs may already have in place, for example, through their alumni networks in HK. We know our city can be expensive, so we try to keep costs as low as possible, such as by using university dormitory rooms on our member campuses. Join us in celebrating our 25th year in Hong Kong. Inquiries are welcome to firstname.lastname@example.org.
