Make Your Own Arrangements!
The conference venue is 1.5 miles from the conference hotels.
Attendees must make their own transportation arrangements.
All conference events will be held at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, University of San Diego
Share a ride with other conference-goers using Uber, Lyft, or Bounce (local San Diego app).
Directions for Ride-Share: USE THE WEST ENTRANCE!!!
Ask the driver to enter campus from the West Entrance and drop you off at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (KIPJ) Building – the building with a dome top located on the right side of the road. Typically, GPS will direct the driver to the Main Entrance. In such a case, tell the driver to make a U-turn, drive west on Linda Vista Road, and enter using the West Entrance.
Friday Shuttle Bus after the Keynote
A 50-passenger shuttle bus will make 2 or 3 runs taking attendees to the conference hotels. If you are impatient, catch a ride with someone or click open your ride-share app.
Directions for Driving Your Own Car: USE THE WEST ENTRANCE!!!
If driving, you must obtain a visitor’s pass at USD’s West Entrance (Friday only; Saturday/Sunday passes not required). Stop at the kiosk and inform them that you’ll be parking in the South Lot behind the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (KIPJ) Building. From the West Entrance, proceed up the hill until you reach the top. Turn right, then immediately right again. Look for the sign directing you to the parking lot. Thirty-four parking spaces are reserved for the conference .
On Friday, if the reserved spaces are full, turn around, drive downhill, and park in the metered parking spaces in the West Parking Structure at the bottom of the hill. You will need to pay for parking until 7 pm.
On Saturday and Sunday, if the reserved spaces are full, you may also park at the KIPJ parking structure (drive up the hill and at the stop sign turn right into the structure). Park in the white and yellow lined spaces only. You may also park in the lot facing the KIPJ building or in any white lined space on the hill leading up to the building.
