Call for Nominations: ASIANetwork Board of Directors, 2011-14
April 9, 2010
Dear ASIANetwork Colleagues:
On behalf of the ASIANetwork Nominations Committee, I invite you to recommend colleagues for selection as nominees to the ASIANetwork Board of Directors.
Those colleagues recommended as nominees should be from schools that have been members of ASIANetwork for at least one year, should have attended at least one ASIANetwork conference, and should not be from the same school as another current or retiring Board member. Moreover, at least three years should have elapsed before someone from the same school as that of a former Board member can be put forward. We also accept self-nominations.
From your recommendations, the Nominations Committee will select candidates to be presented to the Board at its fall meeting. The Board will then select three candidates to be nominees. The three nominees will be profiled in the winter issue of ASIANetwork Bulletin. In turn, they will be voted onto the Board at the business meeting held during the subsequent ASIANetwork spring conference.
The nominating process is driven by gender, age, and ethnic balance, board need, and balance of Asian geographic area of specialty and discipline as well as the geographic location of the ASIANetwork member institution with which the nominee is affiliated.
We welcome your recommendations and invite you to e-mail them on the attached nomination form to me at the address indicated on the form by August 27, 2010.
We are eager to hear from you.
Sincerely,

Eriberto P. Lozada Jr.
Chair,
ASIANetwork Board of Directors
