Provides member institutions the opportunity to apply for a $40,000/year grant to hire a postdoctoral teaching fellow in Asian Studies for one or two years.
Enhancing Asian Studies: Asia in the Undergraduate Curriculum funded by the Luce Foundation
Leverages the expertise and experience of ASIANetwork members to create a comprehensive, digital resource guide to assist member colleges in the teaching about Asia. Assists colleges conducting program reviews or seeking outside advice on ways to strengthen the study of Asia on their campus.
ASIANetwork Speakers Bureau
Provides grants to institutions to bring an ASIANetwork speaker to their campus. Currently offered as a pilot, the program provides five awards each year.
Marianna McJimsey Student Paper Competition
The annual prize recognizes the best undergraduate student paper dealing with Asia. Undergraduate students, currently or recently enrolled in ASIANetwork member schools, are eligible to submit their papers for competition
Asian Studies Consultant Program
Serves ASIANetwork member institutions seeking advice on ways to strengthen the study of Asia on their campuses or seeking consultants to conduct program assessment or review
Teddy Amoloza Conference Travel Award
Provides travel grants of $500 to up to four junior faculty members who are presenting papers at the ASIANetwork Annual Meeting
AN-sponsored Sessions at the AAS Annual Conference
As an AAS affiliate-organization, ASIANetwork sponsors one or two organized panels and/or roundtable sessions at the Association for Asian Studies annual conference each year.
Asia through the Arts
ASIANetwork sponsors various projects to assist faculty members in using images and artifacts to teach about Asia across the curriculum.
